[Honor] Breaking News! NSYSU's Three PhD Programs in Business Management becoming the first EDAMBA members in Taiwan

A huge congratulations to the PhD programs in Business Administration, Management, and Healthcare Management at the Department of Business Management, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), for becoming official members of EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management & Business Administration). NSYSU is proud to be the first university in Taiwan to achieve this prestigious recognition.

The College of Management at NSYSU continues to keep pace with global standards. In September, Professor Shu-Chuan Yeh, Dean of the College and a professor in the Department of Business Management, represented NSYSU at the EDAMBA evaluation held in Oxford, UK. During the event, she introduced NSYSU's PhD programs, highlighting their educational goals and sharing key information about the programs.

After a thorough review, the College's three PhD programs were officially granted EDAMBA membership, making NSYSU the first institution in Taiwan to pass this rigorous evaluation.

EDAMBA is an international academic organization, active in 28 countries, dedicated to advancing the quality and innovation of doctoral programs in business management. The association organizes seminars, forums, faculty development workshops, and dissertation competitions, all aimed at shaping the future of global business education.

Gaining EDAMBA accreditation not only strengthens NSYSU’s ties to the global academic community but also brings valuable opportunities for students. PhD candidates now have the chance to participate in dissertation competitions, with winners earning cash prizes and invitations to present at international conferences. The accreditation also opens doors for exchange programs with leading universities worldwide.

During her visit, Dean Yeh had productive discussions with EDAMBA President Professor Dimitris Assimakopoulos and other prominent scholars, exchanging insights on higher education management, career development, and the challenges facing academia today.

Reflecting on the importance of international collaboration, Dean Yeh remarked, "Engaging with other business schools gives us a clear sense of how fast the world is moving. NSYSU must keep pace, stepping out of its comfort zone to embrace challenges and expand dialogues and partnerships with institutions around the globe."
