David: I was very happy to be asked to be the Deputy-Director of the Centre for International Affairs (CIA). I consider it a great opportunity and a privilege to work with the Centre and to play a role in the ongoing internationalization of the College of Management. The College already has approximately 45 international partnerships with business schools in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia, two excellent English taught MBA programs, and has achieved International AACSB Accreditation. I very much look forward to working with Shao-Jung Wang (the new Director) and CIA staff members (Karen Lee and Jenny Lee) to support and develop the international activities and interests of the College.

 

David: The Center for International Affairs (CIA) aims to encourage internationalization, enhance the student experience, and coordinate international cooperation activities. The College of Management has already had great success in these areas and has already achieved a lot. As much as possible, the CIA will help to support the successful work the College has already done and create more opportunities to internationalize the College further.

 

 

David: The main tasks of the CIA include:

 

·       Creating and developing international partnerships.

·       Increasing the number of visiting Professors from overseas.

·       Arranging outgoing visits by NSYSU delegations and hosting visits by delegations from partner universities and international institutions.

·       Managing exchange programs, double degree programs, and global program affairs at the college level.

·       Developing and managing international opportunities for students.

 

The tasks of the CIA ultimately aim to develop a more global experience for Professors, staff and students at the College. As Deputy- Director, I will support the CIA Director in her work and offer as much help and assistance as I can to develop the work of the CIA. With the very valuable help of Jenny and Karen (CIA staff), I believe we will continue to positively promote the College internationally and create more global opportunities for faculty and students.
