1. This notice is issued in accordance with the letter No. 1150400020 (dated January 20, 2026) from the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
2. According to surveillance data from the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC), influenza-like illness activity remains stable and COVID-19 cases are currently at a low level. However, with the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday in February and increased population movement, campuses—being densely populated settings—still face a risk of respiratory disease transmission. All faculty, staff, and students are therefore requested to remain vigilant and continue implementing preventive measures.
3. Key prevention reminders are as follows:
(1) Vaccination is important
Faculty, staff, and students who have not yet received influenza or COVID-19 vaccines are encouraged to complete vaccination as soon as possible:
-
Individuals aged six months and older who have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine are advised to get vaccinated promptly (the expanded COVID-19 vaccination program is available until February 28, 2026).
-
Eligible individuals who have not yet received a publicly funded influenza vaccine are advised to complete vaccination as soon as possible (available while supplies last).
-
Vaccination information can be obtained via local health bureau websites, the Taiwan CDC website, the CDC App, or by calling the 1922 Communicable Disease Hotline.
(2) Implement daily preventive measures
If you experience symptoms suggestive of influenza or COVID-19, please wear a mask and seek medical care promptly.
4. Guidelines on the management of influenza and COVID-19 cluster events are available on the Taiwan CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov.tw).
5. All faculty, staff, and students are kindly requested to work together in implementing preventive measures to help keep our campus healthy and safe.
