Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) - International Consulting Program in Taiwan(ICPT) of College of Management in National Sun Yat-sen University

Internship for foreigners is just a piece of cake in Taiwan!

Hosted by College of Management in National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) and co-hosted with the Office of International Affairs, “Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) - 2015 International Consulting Program in Taiwan(ICPT)” is a project combing with the faculties in College of Management, southern Taiwan enterprise and professional consultants. This program, sponsored by Ministry of Education, offers a short-term business consulting opportunity for global business students and expects to create a benefit for integrating resources and attracting international personnel.

TEEP can allow the students to present their best in the business

TEEP is adapted by a course named Business Consulting in ACT program, which is an exchange program that offered students an opportunity to take courses in NSYSU, Johannes Kepler Universität (JKU) in Austria, and University of Victoria (UVic) in Canada.
This consulting course processes with lecturing on specific knowledge and skills, and then, proposing a well-constructed plan that was researched and finished within certain time and presented in the final.

Combining with local enterprise and international students & consultant system

Based on previous experience, students indicated that they have learned more practical knowledge and experience and they got more chances to be recruited by local enterprise.
This year, ICPT expected to help shorten the gap between foreign students and local enterprise and shorten the time to be accepted as an intern by the enterprise. Foreign students received weekly lecturing and tutoring from professional consultants, which made local enterprise more willing to participate in TEEP as the client for the students, and helping with promoting the internationalization of local enterprise.

Frequent communication in College of Management & Encouragement for local business

The proportion of international exchange programs and activities in College of Management is the highest in NSYSU, over 80%. The number is still increasing annually. We believe that with successfully previous experience, final benefit of the enterprise and plus the tutoring of the consultants, the enterprise of the Southern Taiwan will be more willing to welcome the devotion of the students and improve the international visibility for the local business.

Dr. Lee, Dean of the College of Management, stated that, “if foreign students can blend in our local business, and our students can know deeper the foreign business, we can proudly say that, that is truly the internationalization of business education!”
