The College of Management at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) has been striving for being the model of putting College Social Responsibility (CSR) into practice. Since 2018, the College of Management has been publishing CSR annual reports for 4 straight years. To further fulfill CSR principles, Hult Prize Club supported by Office of Career Development at College of Management will soon hold Hult Prize Club Campus Competition on December 11th on campus.

With Professor Chien-Yuan Sher supervision and the support from Office of Career Development at the College of Management. Our NSYSU Hult Prize club is going to hold a series of Social Innovation and Entrepreneur Competition and relevant workshops. A formal competition seminar has already held online on October 13th, and the competition registration has opened on October 14th. NSYSU Hult Prize Club aims to let students have deeper understanding of the competition and have sufficient time to prepare for proposals.

The seminar of Social Innovation and Entrepreneur Competition was held on October 13th, at 8pm through Microsoft Teams. During the seminar, the club director Yuen Kong, and the vice club director Jui-Yang Fan gave a presentation on explaining this year’s competition theme, “Getting The World Back To Work”, the competition schedules and rules, the upcoming events and workshops, and its future development after the competition on campus.

Aside from the introduction of Social Innovation and Entrepreneur Competition, the NSYSU Hult Prize Club also invited one of last year’s contestants, IBMBA 1st year students named Lyn Suphanuch from Thailand, to share her experience. Their team, Future Fish, was ranked as the top six in Taiwan reginal competition. She talked about the previous theme “Food for Good”, the ideas of their proposal, process of exploring and defining the question, and the difficulties they encountered. Through Lyn’s presentation, students got to know more about the competition and helped them clarify what and how to prepare for the proposals.

The NSYSU Hult Prize Club hopes to attract public attention and gain awareness on social issues and global problems. Further, it wants to challenge students to create a feasible solution to solve the problems. It will not only improve students’ critical thinking and pitching skills, but also enhance their global awareness.

Let’s together make a positive impact on the world, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
