The Eduniversal global rankings for 2024, which assess the top 1,000 business schools worldwide for their international impact, were recently announced. The College of Management at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) has maintained its esteemed position, earning the Four Palms Award for the fourth consecutive year. This recognition, represented by Dean Shu-chuan Yeh, signifies that the college is among the top 300 business schools globally and holds significant international influence, further solidifying its status as one of the top three business schools in Taiwan.

Eduniversal also published its 2024 Best Masters & MBAs Ranking, in which seven programs from the NSYSU College of Management were recognized. The Medical Management Master's Program, Institute of Human Resource Management, and Institute of Marketing Communication were honored as the only programs in Taiwan to make the list. The Medical Management Master's Program ranked 90th globally. The Institute of Human Resource Management achieved 6th place in the Far East region for Human Resource Management, and the Institute of Marketing Communication ranked 9th in the Far East for Business Communication. The Public Affairs Management Institute secured 18th place in the Far East for Public Administration/Management and 2nd place in Taiwan. The NSYSU EMBA program earned 29th place in the Far East and 5th in Taiwan. The Master's programs in the Department of Information Management and Department of Financial Management were also recognized, ranking 18th and 27th in the Far East, and 7th and 5th in Taiwan, respectively.

The 17th Eduniversal World Convention held in Mexico this year recognized only the top three business schools from each country or region. Dean Shu-chuan Yeh attended the ceremony and expressed her honor in accepting this award. She noted that only 200 business schools out of the top 1,000 are classified as Four Palms, underscoring the college’s consistent commitment to international excellence since 2019. This recognition serves as a testament to the college's strong international influence.

Eduniversal, headquartered in Paris, has been ranking global higher education institutions since 2007, creating a detailed global map of the sector. Unlike other business school rankings, Eduniversal's system focuses on comparing schools within the same region—its nine major regions—highlighting the diversity and distinctive nature of higher education worldwide.

The process of selecting the top 1,000 business schools begins with the assessment of 154 countries based on factors such as student enrollment in higher education, government education spending, and the number of academic research institutions. The selection is further refined by Eduniversal’s International Scientific Committee, which uses internationalization indicators like accreditations, global rankings, and membership in international academic organizations. Schools are then classified into five levels of Palmes of Excellence based on their international standing, from 1 Palm (considerable local influence) to 5 Palms (strong global influence). The final rankings within each category are determined by peer voting among the top 1,000 business school deans.

The Best Masters & MBAs Ranking is similarly rigorous, evaluating programs across 54 fields and 154 countries. Only programs from over 1,800 institutions are included, showcasing NSYSU’s significant international influence and recognition as a leading institution in management education.

The NSYSU College of Management has long been committed to fostering internationalization, employing faculty members from countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Sweden, and Canada. The college offers comprehensive English-language courses, including an all-English undergraduate program and two English-taught master’s programs, with English-language professional courses available in every department.

Additionally, NSYSU maintains partnerships with 74 sister universities across 29 countries and has 14 dual-degree programs. Over 200 students participate in exchange programs each year, with approximately 250 international students on campus during non-pandemic years, demonstrating vibrant international exchange.

The college also supports internationalization through scholarships for language certifications and study-abroad programs, encouraging students to expand their global perspectives.

In the 2024 Eduniversal Taiwan rankings, seven Taiwanese schools were featured: National Taiwan University and National Chengchi University received the Five Palms Award; NSYSU was awarded Four Palms; National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and Fu Jen Catholic University earned Three Palms; and National Cheng Kung University received the Two Palms Award.
