Entering BUNA CAF’E in Neihu, Taipei, one was instantly greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and conversation. On Saturday September 19, 2026, the NSYSU College of Management grandly held its alumni gathering for the IBBA, IBMBA, and GHRM MBA programs. Alumni from diverse countries and industries returned to the big family to reconnect, network, and jointly witness their alma mater's remarkable achievements in internationalization.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Justin Tang, President of the International Programs Alumni Association, followed by a welcome speech from Prof. Tony Tsai, Director of the International Programs. Director Tsai expressed his gratitude for the alumni's long-standing support and shared warm updates on the programs' latest developments. Recognizing that some alumni might be less familiar with the newly established International Bachelor Program in Business Administration (IBBA), Director Tsai playfully shared a few "sneak peeks", noting that IBBA was established in 2022 and highlighting its international faculty background from the UK, Canada, Singapore, and beyond. This engaging introduction warmed up the crowd and kicked off the lively event.

The career trajectories of the attending alumni vividly illustrated the success of the college’s international vision. French alumnus Antoine Sylvestre has successfully founded two companies, Kiara and Celerity AI in Taiwan; Michal Ryznar from the Czech Republic serves as a Reliability Engineer at STMicroelectronics; Indian alumnus Vipin Saini earned his Ph.D. in Information Management after graduating from IBMBA and now serves as an Assistant Professor at National Chung Cheng University, teaching programming and strategic management; while Myanmar alumnus Hkawn San holds a marketing role at ASUS.

In addition, alumni demonstrated impressive collective success across key industries: several graduates hold key Human Resources (HR) management positions at leading companies such as TSMC, Taiwan Mobile, and Lite-On Technology. Up to six alumni are currently with ASUS, and over four alumni serve as Project Managers (PMs) at tech giants including Dell and ASUS. Furthermore, more than five alumni have joined the Management Associate (MA) programs at Huanan Bank, Chang Hwa Bank, First Bank, FamilyMart and TS Holdings, fully demonstrating the College of Management's deep and extensive industry footprint.

After lunch came the most anticipated highlight of the day: the Kahoot trivia challenge. Ranging from lighthearted icebreakers to domain-specific questions, the game engaged alumni in a lively mental workout while taking them on a nostalgic journey through memory lane.

The opening question, "Which three all-English degree programs were founded by the NSYSU College of Management?", set the tone. When the answers were revealed as IBBA, IBMBA, and GHRM MBA, nods of knowing recognition rippled through the audience. Next came a test on faculty diversity: "Which of the following is NOT represented among our faculty’s nationalities? (UK, Canada, Singapore, USA)." Primed by Director Tsai’s playful "spoiler" during the opening remarks, alumni were quick to chime in with the correct answer, "USA," triggering bursts of laughter around the room.

The momentum continued as data regarding alumni networks and program origins sparked enthusiastic discussion. The IBMBA community has expanded to 579 alumni to date, GHRM MBA has reached 184, and IBBA, established just in 2022, already boasts 27 graduates, showcasing the impressive track record of the College of Management’s international programs over the years.

The excitement reached its peak with questions centered on institutional honors. When questions regarding institutional honors came up, several alumni shared knowing smiles, some noticed the questions were actually identical to the ones from the last alumni reunion! When asked to identify the three Taiwanese universities honored with Eduniversal’s 5 Palmes of Excellence, the audience easily called out "NCCU, NSYSU, NTU" based on familiar memory. Other professional questions, such as the College of Management successfully passing four AACSB re-accreditations and the 39-credit requirement for both master's programs, posed no challenge either, showing how well alumni still know their alma mater. Finally, when it was announced that NSYSU ranked 438th in the 2027 QS World University Rankings, the room responded with warm applause in recognition of the university's ongoing progress.

Though straightforward in format, the game proved to be an ideal icebreaker, seamlessly weaving together laughter, applause, and institutional pride. The gathering not only reinforced lifelong alumni bonds but also left everyone profoundly proud of the legacy and achievements of the NSYSU College of Management.
