On August 28, 2019, Andrew Paltridge, Associate Dean of the Business School, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) visited the College of Management, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU). The meeting was hosted by Associate Dean Jui Kun Kuo and Deputy Manager Cindy Lin of the International Affairs Office, College of Management. During the visit, they discussed collaboration matters such as short-term programs and double degree programs.

QUT is located in the center of Brisbane, ranked 244th in the 2019 QS World University Rankings and 101-150th in Business Schools Ranking. Business school of QUT has been accredited by three major business school accreditations in the world: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. QUT Business School offers bachelor’s degree (3 years), master’s degree (1.5-2 years), and doctoral degree, as well as professional courses (Graduate Cert. & Graduate Diploma) ranging from 6 months to 1 year.

Paltridge pointed out that innovation and entrepreneurship are the strengths of the short-term course at QUT Business School. In the past, the school had conducted exchanges with Japanese schools. As he hoped there would be opportunities for students from both sides to study at each other’s school in the future, he voluntarily requested for information concerning the short-term courses offered by the College of Management, NSYSU.

In addition, during the visit, both sides also discussed about the collaboration of a double degree program. QUT has signed a double master's degree program with Tamkang University and Fu Jen Catholic University. The College of Management, NSYSU proposed to collaborate with QUT Business School based on the French ESSCA 1+1 master double degree program (regardless of department), or establish another global program between Asia, Europe and America.

QUT Business School and the College of Management, NSYSU discussed a several number of collaboration possibilities during this exchange, and jointly hoped to bring more resources to the students of both sides to study abroad.
