NSYSU College of Management has a long list of alumni working at premier companies and organizations in Taiwan and all across the globe. Today, we share the internship experience of our prestigious alumnus Ray Huang who is currently working as a Summer Analyst at Citi, Taipei.

Ray Huang studied bachelor degree at Department of Business Management, College of Management at NSYSU and graduated in year 2021. He is also very athletic, and during his time, he actively participated in numerous extracurricular and sports activities. Most notably, he was the co-coach for the university’s Dragon Boat team from 2018-2020. Ray, has had internship experiences at Fidelity International, Allianz Global investors and Acer, is currently working as a Summer Analyst at ‘Citi,' one of the most prestigious multinational investment banks and financial services corporations in the world, with its headquarters situated in New York, USA. Citigroup has more than 200 million customer accounts and operates in more than 160 countries. In fact, in 2021, Citigroup was ranked 33^rd on the prestigious Fortune 500. Ray is passionate about finance and economics, which motivated him to apply for Citi Summer Analyst Program. According to him:

“The Summer Analyst Program is dedicated to giving future business leaders a holistic view of Citi's business. Through mentorship, training, and other development opportunities, Summer Analysts can expect to finish the program with a broad understanding of the Consumer Banking business, as well as operational intricacies of Citi."

So, how did Mr. Huang land an internship at such an illustrious company? It certainly wasn’t just good luck or fortune. It was all due to this tenacity and capabilities. In fact, he tirelessly reached out to more than 50 alumni to know how to best position himself in the industry. After landing an interview, he secured the internship at Citi. Ray encourages others to “be bold and brave” and remarks that he loved his time at NSYSU and misses it immensely. Ray shares:

“NSYSU provides me a panorama perspective of university life, there’re a lot of opportunities we can leverage to build ourselves learning curve.”
