A Major Milestone! NSYSU College of Management Earns AACSB Reaccreditation for the Fourth Time

Securing a place among the world’s top business schools is no coincidence. With its commitment to excellence in teaching, research, internationalization, and social impact, the College of Management at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) has once again earned reaccreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)—making it the first national university in Taiwan to achieve this distinction.
AACSB is the world's most prestigious business school accreditation body, recognizing only the top 6% of business schools globally. Institutions must meet rigorous standards in academic quality, teaching, research, student achievement, and governance. NSYSU’s fourth consecutive reaccreditation underscores its standing as a leader in global business education.
Leading Taiwan’s Business Education
Since first earning AACSB accreditation in 2005—making it the first national university in Taiwan to do so—NSYSU has consistently led the way. It achieved its first reaccreditation in 2010, followed by successful renewals in 2015, 2020, and now in 2024.
To address the evolving landscape of business education, AACSB introduced new accreditation standards in 2020, emphasizing strategic management, learner success, thought leadership, and social impact. In November 2024, NSYSU once again excelled in its formal accreditation review, earning praise for its high-quality outcomes and the effective implementation of its strategic vision.
Sustainability and Data-Driven Innovation: Elevating Quality Management
One key highlight of the review was NSYSU’s annual Sustainability Report, which serves as a comprehensive framework for tracking and promoting sustainable initiatives. The accreditation team commended the College for integrating sustainability into its strategic plan and for its commitment to measurable impact.
Additionally, NSYSU has developed an innovative online system to consolidate data on student learning outcomes (AOL reports), faculty research, and student feedback. This system significantly enhances quality management and reporting efficiency, providing real-time, data-driven insights to support continuous improvement.
Bridging Theory and Practice: Enhancing Career Competitiveness
NSYSU’s commitment to experiential learning was another key strength recognized by the accreditation team. The College has integrated flipped classrooms and hands-on industry projects, allowing students to tackle real-world business challenges in collaboration with corporate and nonprofit partners. This approach enhances students’ problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, and industry readiness.
The College also maintains long-term partnerships with leading global companies, offering students internships, corporate mentorship, and career development programs. The Career Development Center plays a crucial role in connecting students with industry, ensuring they graduate with a competitive edge in the job market.
A World-Class EMBA Program
NSYSU’s Executive MBA (EMBA) program also stood out in the review. Ranked 88th globally by the Financial Times—and the only Taiwanese EMBA program on the list—it boasts a strong alumni network, corporate visits, and international collaborations. EMBA students actively engage in fundraising and social impact initiatives, demonstrating the program’s commitment to leadership beyond the classroom.
A Testament to Excellence
Professor Shu-Chuan Yeh, former Dean of the College of Management, emphasized that this reaccreditation reflects three years of dedicated effort and collective achievement. The College has seen remarkable growth in student success, corporate competition performance, faculty recruitment, gender diversity, and research impact. With its continued ascent in global rankings, NSYSU remains firmly among the world’s top 100 business schools.
Founded in 1916, AACSB accreditation is the gold standard in business education, with over 1,000 accredited institutions across 100+ countries. In Taiwan, only 30 universities hold this prestigious recognition, further solidifying NSYSU’s position at the forefront of business education.
