iKala, Taiwan’s first publicly listed AI-driven data technology company, is a rising force in sectors such as high-tech, telecom, finance, and retail. With a client base that includes industry leaders, iKala has earned numerous accolades, including the Smart City Innovation Application Award and a Silver Award in the GenAI Stars industry applications competition. Now preparing for its second-quarter listing on the Taipei Exchange, iKala recently launched a fast-track CV review channel and held a career talk at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) on April 9, drawing strong student interest.

Alumna Min-Hsin Hsu introduces iKala

The session opened with an introduction by NSYSU alumna Min-Hsin Hsu, now a Market Analyst at iKala. She presented an overview of the company (Ticker: 6925), known for its AI-powered SaaS subscription services delivering high-quality data and analytics. With expertise in AI semantic analysis, search engine technologies, and business intelligence, iKala specializes in processing unstructured data at scale. It boasts an extensive client network of over a thousand companies across Greater China, including more than 70% of Taiwan’s top 10 credit card banks and top 20 retailers. iKala is committed to offering clients comprehensive and professional AI-driven data solutions.

Min-Hsin Hsu shares her job-hunting journey and B2B sales recruitment insights

From Marketing to Sales: A Journey Across Four Fields

Min-Hsin shared her professional journey across four domains—marketing, project management, HR, and sales. Drawing from these experiences, she offered practical career advice, especially for those interested in B2B sales. She highlighted the value of the “Corporate Law and Ethics” course offered by NSYSU’s Department of Business Management, which provided her with essential legal knowledge that proved invaluable when reviewing contract terms.

Comparing B2C and B2B models, she noted that B2B roles offer direct engagement with senior executives, enabling faster development of consultative selling skills—a strong foundation for future transitions to B2C if desired. She also reassured students that iKala sets KPIs and bonus structures tailored to each employee's strengths and experience. Working at iKala not only means gaining experience with major clients, but also enjoying a supportive team culture. The company welcomes employee-led initiatives and provides diverse platforms for professional growth.

David Huang, Manager of Analytics & Services Division II, presents Business Analyst openings

Cross-Department Opportunities and a People-First Culture

David Huang, Manager of Analytics & Services Division II, introduced the current opening for Business Analyst and emphasized iKala’s encouragement of internal mobility across departments. Analysts are expected to translate client needs into actionable plans and collaborate cross-functionally to bring them to life. While tools like Excel, Python, and SQL are used regularly, David stressed that iKala prioritizes personal qualities over technical skills and provides a supportive environment for new graduates to learn on the job.

Through this career talk, students gained valuable insights into the growing AI and big data industry, as well as iKala’s corporate culture, job opportunities, and talent development approach. As the AI wave continues to build momentum, NSYSU hopes more students will take the leap, connect classroom learning with industry practice, and launch their own career journeys in this transformative field.
