The College of Management at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) has been striving to bring the model of putting College Social Responsibility (CSR) into practice. Since 2018, the College of Management has been publishing CSR annual reports for 4 straight years. To further fulfill CSR principles, Hult Prize Club supported by Office of Career Development at College of Management will soon hold Hult Prize Club Campus Competition on December 11^st on campus.

In this year, Hult Prize at NSYSU Club Campus Competition is honored to collaborate with the master programs mandatory courses at College of Management, instructed by Professor Chien-Yuan Sher, Professor Yi Lu, Professor Yuh-Yuh Li, and Professor Ryan Brading. Hult Prize is known as the Nobel Prize in Business school and also the biggest student competition for social good around the world. Students around the world can participate in the competition by coming up with projects according to the topic assigned by Hult Prize Foundation. The topics always ask business elites to find out possible solutions to critical issues around the world nowadays, which fits the purpose of this course. Hopefully, the collaboration between these two teams will help students have a deeper understanding of social issues.

The Hult Prize first competition seminar was held on October 6^th at the IBMBA and GHRM MBA “Business Ethics and Social Responsibility'' classes. GHRM MBA 2^nd year student Reianthong Vongseangkam, the former campus director of Hult Prize at NSYSU, and Business Management bachelor student Liu Chu-Yun, incumbent director of Event Planning Department, introduced this year’s competition theme Getting The World Back To Work to students, future activity schedules, and some competition rules so that students will have better understandings on the Hult Prize competition.

Moreover, Hult Prize Club has also invited Lyn Suphanuch to share her experience and encourage students to participate in the competition. Lyn is a previous contestant of Hult Prize on campus. Their team was selected as one of the Top 6 in the Hult Prize regional competition final round last year. She also shared some tips and how she dealt with problems she met in the competition last year. Therefore, the students were provided with more details about the competition.

After the seminar, participants learn more about the purpose of the Hult Prize Club campus competition and start group discussion regarding this year’s competition topic with classmates. Through this competition, we hope to capture public attention on social issues and try to come up with creative solutions to the challenges.
