Breaking News!
The "Sun Yat-sen Management Review," a prestigious publication by the Management Academic Research Center of National Sun Yat-sen University (hereinafter referred to as the Center), has been honored with the National Central Library's "Long-Term Dissemination Award" in the Management Discipline Selected Group.
The National Central Library (NCL), long dedicated to preserving Taiwan's important academic resources, annually announces the "Taiwan Academic Resource Impact Award." The "Sun Yat-sen Management Review" has consistently appeared on this list and has once again been recognized this year. Moreover, it has been confirmed to receive editorial subsidies from the National Science Council's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences for the year 113, underscoring external recognition of its enduring impact on Taiwan's academic development.
The NCL's Long-Term Dissemination Award analyzes the total citations of Chinese-language journals in Taiwan over nearly 30 years across four document types: journals, theses, monographs, and monographic papers. The "Selected Group" (core journals) includes 18 disciplines individually analyzed, using data from the Taiwan Citation Index - Humanities and Social Sciences (TCI-HSS). This statistical approach assesses whether articles published in journals continue to be widely cited in subsequent literature, observing their long-term academic dissemination and influence, serving as a benchmark for ongoing contributions to the scholarly community.
The "Sun Yat-sen Management Review" is one of Taiwan's earliest academic journals in management studies, recognized for its significant academic influence. Published by the Center, it was founded in 1993 under the initiative of Professor Liu Chang-Yung, then Dean of the School of Management. Recognizing the rapid growth of management scholarship in Taiwan without a regular outlet for scholarly publications, Professor Liu utilized the school's limited resources to establish the journal. Over the years, it has provided a platform for humanities and social sciences scholars in Taiwan to publish high-quality works, contributing to the development and enhancement of academic influence in management studies.
Currently, the "Sun Yat-sen Management Review" publishes regularly in March, June, September, and December, with occasional special issues based on submission volume and article quality. It covers a wide range of disciplines including business administration, marketing, information management, human resources, financial accounting, technology management, social practices and value creation, and healthcare management. It is recognized as a comprehensive journal and has been rated multiple times as a "TSSCI Tier 1 Core Journal" by the National Science Council's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Its prominent position among domestic and international academic journals is highly regarded, attracting outstanding scholars and researchers worldwide to publish their findings, thereby receiving substantial recognition from peers globally.
