According to the National Sun Yat-sen University's 'Regulations Governing the Recruitment and Retention of Special and Outstanding Talents', recipients will be awarded the reward amount as announced for distinguished professors or distinguished young scholars. Publication Grants
If a faculty member who has not received an approved grant from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) for the current year publishes an academic paper with the university's name, the grant will be capped at 1.5 base points per paper if the paper is ranked in the top 20 percent of its discipline according to the Journal Impact Factor or Journal Citation Indicator of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) database. If a paper is ranked in the top 5 percent of its discipline (the total number of journal issues must not be less than 50), the grant will be capped at 4.0 base points per paper. Each faculty member may apply for a maximum of two articles per year.
